Shelf Lovers is more than just a bookshop. Through our range of Reading Lists, Book Subscriptions and Gift Boxes, we are proud to empower our readers and connect people with the right books at the right time. Our reading lists are topic-based and have been specially tailored to assist patrons, including educators and parents, find relevant and authoritative resources. We offer a variety of Book Subscriptions, as well as Shelf Lovers Gift Vouchers, which make the perfect present for any book lover.
Themed Reading Lists
Shelf Lovers has curated a series of Reading Lists on a variety of topics and themes to make it easier for patrons to discover new books and resources. The Reading Lists highlight useful and authoritative materials and should be of particular benefit to educators, parents, support workers and others. Covering children’s books, books for tweens and teens and non-fiction resources such as workbooks and memoirs, the Reading Lists focus on topics like the exploration of gender and sexual identity. Subscriptions
Whether you’re looking for useful resources, need help maintaining your reading habit or just want to discover some new books, our book subscriptions will help you out.
For a set monthly fee, you (or your gift recipient) will receive a book in the post, carefully selected by our staff, guided by your input and based on the topics and genres of your choice.
Subscription One
- Receive 1 book every month for 6 months (6 books in total)
Cost: $245
Subscription Two
- Receive 1 book every 2 months for 12 months (6 books in total)
Cost: $245
Subscription Three
- Receive 1 book every month for 12 months (12 books in total)
Cost: $480
A subscription for children’s books is also available, with costs varying dependent upon the types of books requested. Contact us for more information.
Gift Boxes
Give a gift that perfectly combines the love of books and geekery with one of our customised gift boxes.
Whether you’re looking to gift a pile of the latest new releases or create a Jane Austen themed box with a classic edition book, lapel pin and scarf, Shelf Lovers will work with you to create just the thing. Contact us or pop in to the store to discuss what you’re looking for.
Gift Vouchers
Give a book lover the perfect gift – the ability to choose their own book or literary geekery – with a Shelf Lovers Gift Voucher. Vouchers are available in any denomination starting from $10. We are currently working on enabling patrons to purchase and redeem vouchers online – this will be up and running soon. In the meantime, please contact us or speak with someone instore to arrange an emailed or pre-printed voucher.
We are also currently establishing systems so that BookPeople Gift Cards can be redeemed instore. More information will be made available about this soon.
